How do you select the phone card that is right for you?
There are typically two types of prepaid
phone cards: (1) Phone card with surcharges
(95% of all cards), and (2 )specialty cards
that have no surcharges. To
decide on which cards are best for you, simply determine the average
duration your phone calls, and the locations you typically call.
Let's consider the two basic cards:
No Surcharge Cards: These cards do not have as many minutes,
but you get every minute you pay for. These are for SHORT calls,
usually 15 minutes or less. But, you need to calculate the cost
before you buy the card to see if this card is best for you.
Surcharge Cards: There is a small connection fee on these
cards EVERY TIME YOU CALL! The good part is that the cost per
minute is less. On the prepaid World
Plus card, for example, the cost per minute is 2¢ per
minute. On the No Surcharge Card
they would cost you about 6.5 cents per minute. You can see where
the longer calls could add up to big savings with this card.
How do you save?
You will see that using a phone card for your long distance calls
is cheaper than using your home phone! How? The overall calling
rates on prepaid phone cards are lower.
For instance, major phone companies are offering
calls to anywhere in the United States for 20 minutes for 99¢
and only 7¢ a minute after that. If you were to do the math,
you will see that their rate is expensive!
However, with the prepaid Penny
Power card, that same 20 minute call is only 69¢! What's
even better is that after your 20 minutes you are only paying
1¢ a minute for the rest of the time you are on the
phone.
In addition, by becoming a member of the Phone
Card Club, you can earn FREE
phone cards which could add up to huge savings!
So experience the benefits of using prepaid
phone cards anywhere in the world, and no matter what country
you are calling, you will be saving money!
